"I am writing in support of the Metronome Dance Collective and the important and valuable work in sharing the joy, skills and benefits of social partner dancing... To give some perspective, I have partner danced socially for the last forty years, primarily Lindy Hop swing dancing for the last twenty years but also salsa, Argentine tango and some ballroom. I came along to the Metronome Ballroom soon after Diane Jarmolow first opened it in the early '90s. I've seen first hand how, over the years, it has brought the happiness, health and joy of partner dancing into countless people's lives. Through different owners and economic ups and downs , the one constant of the Metronome is that it brings together people from all walks of life, diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds, to study, practice and enjoy the skills of social partner dancing."
- Jeremy Stutton, Artist at Sutton Studio & Gallery
