"HOW MANY LESSONS WILL WE NEED?" This is possibly the most frequently asked question we hear from engaged couples. The answer really depends on your goals and how comfortable you are moving to music. After your initial 30-minute lesson, our instructor will be happy to give you an educated answer to this question.
"WHEN TO START LESSONS?" As with any new endeavor, the earlier you can start the better; however, we can tailor an approach that meets your goals and schedule . Many couples begin 8 to 10 weeks prior and take one lesson a week. This way, you can just have fun the day of the wedding!
"WHAT TO WEAR TO LESSONS?" For the lessons, wear anything that makes you feel comfortable and allows for ease of movement. Wear shoes similar to what you'll wear the day of. As you get closer to the big day, we recommend at least one lesson and practice in the actual shoes you'll be wearing.
Also, the instructor will show you how to practice in preparation for your next lesson.
If you have a song in mind or have a short list of songs, please do bring your music (smart phone or iPod works).

"Our Father-Daughter dance was a great success at my daughter's wedding. We had fun working with Christina and Alise who helped edit our music and transform our ideas into fun and lively dance steps. Christina and Alise prepared terrific choreography that fit our music and ideas perfectly. They worked with us to perfect our moves and apply the professional touches that made our dance a success. The small rehearsal studio spaces were perfect for practice, and everyone at the Collective was very friendly and helpful. Thanks again Christina and Alise for such a fun and special experience."
